Organic Weed Control in 3 Simple Steps

Summer is almost here! I don't know about you, but for me that means sunny days, vacation time, and. . .well, weeding.  Or at least, trying not to get overwhelmed by all the weeds that call our gardens and flower beds home over the summer.

Fortunately, there are a few simple, organic ways to keep the weeds under control!

Wherever you have bare soil, you have a perfect place for weeds to grow.  The simple solution is to cover those bare spaces with a good 2 inches or more of mulch, which can be anything from straw (not hay!), to wood chips.

Second, try to pull weeds out before they flower.  Once they flower, they quickly go to seed, and then your problem gets A LOT bigger.  If you can pull all the weeds before they go to seed, you save yourself some serious work!

But what if the weeds are already overwhelming? You can stop them in their tracks with this organic weed killer, which can be made at home.  Now please be careful, because if you get any on your plants, it will kill them too!

If you're already deep in a weedy situation, don't despair! But don't ignore it either. If the situation isn't too overwhelming, try spending just 15 minutes a day for a week dealing with the problem.  You'll be amazed at how much progress you will make!

If the situation IS out of control, consider hiring a garden maintenance company to deal with the problem.  I worked for one that offered hand weeding services, and this is also something I offer to my clients.
